stuff.
We like to be upfront about how we work. Below you will find everything you need to know before booking, written as clearly as we can.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking any work with us. By accepting a quote or allowing work to begin, you agree to be bound by these terms.
These terms were last updated in July 2026.

Our services
We provide general handyman and property maintenance services, including but not limited to flat pack assembly, shelving installation, door repairs, garden upkeep, and general household maintenance.
We do not carry out work that requires specific trade certification, including gas work or certain electrical work. If your job falls outside the scope of what we can safely and lawfully do, we will tell you promptly and, where possible, point you in the right direction.
We operate primarily across Hove, Brighton, Portslade, and the surrounding area. We will confirm whether we can attend your location when you get in touch.
Quotes and pricing
All work is quoted before it begins. A quote is provided based on the information you give us about the job. You will know the cost before any work starts.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. If the scope of work changes once we are on site — for example, if additional issues are identified — we will inform you and agree any revised cost before proceeding.
Quotes do not include the cost of materials unless explicitly stated. Where materials are required, we will advise you of the cost in advance.
Out-of-hours work
A call-out fee applies for any work carried out outside of standard hours. Out-of-hours is defined as:
- Between 6:00 pm and 7:00 am, Monday to Saturday
- All day Sunday
The applicable call-out fee will be confirmed to you at the time of booking.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance.
We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash
- Bank transfer (BACS / faster payment)
Where payment is by bank transfer, our account details will be provided on your invoice. Payment should be made within 7 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed.
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Cancellations and rescheduling
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a booking. This allows us to offer the slot to another customer.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation charge to cover our loss of time and travel. We will always act reasonably and take individual circumstances into account.
If we need to cancel or reschedule on our side due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative time.
Your responsibilities
To allow us to carry out work safely and effectively, we ask that you:
- Provide accurate information about the job when requesting a quote
- Ensure we have safe and reasonable access to the work area at the agreed time
- Let us know of any known hazards, such as concealed pipes, cables, or asbestos, before work begins
- Ensure children and pets are kept clear of the work area while we are on site
We cannot be held responsible for delays or issues that arise as a result of inaccurate information or restricted access.
Our liability
We take care to carry out all work to a good standard. We are fully insured for public liability.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage that arises from:
- Pre-existing faults or conditions that were not disclosed to us or were not reasonably discoverable
- Work carried out by a third party before or after our involvement
- Your failure to follow any advice or instructions we have given
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Our liability to you will not exceed the total value of the work carried out under the relevant booking.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Workmanship guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the job, please contact us within 14 days of completion and we will return to assess and, where appropriate, rectify the issue at no additional charge.
This guarantee does not apply where the issue has been caused by misuse, interference with the work, or normal wear and tear.
Complaints
If you have a concern about our work or conduct, please contact us in the first instance so we can try to resolve it:
We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 14 days.
Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
